Yes. TAP has received several awards. In 2018, TAP was named best company to work for in Portugal, and again received three World Travel Awards: Europe’s Leading Airline to Africa, Europe’s Leading Airline to South America and Europe’s Leading Inflight Magazine (Up).
In recent years TAP has consolidated its repositioning in some of its main markets, particularly in Africa and North and South America. It is the leading Portuguese airline between Europe and Brazil and has made a strong commitment to connections with the United States and Canada.

Theses efforts have included ensuring sustainable growth by adapting to the changes in each market as a whole while increasing traffic values and occupation rates.

In April 2003, TAP SGPS and TAP SA approved the separation of its handling business, which led to the creation of SPdH (Serviços Portugueses de Handling) which took over TAP’s ground operations. The Groundforce brand was launched in March 2005.

Groundforce is committed to the quality and experience of its staff, who provide services at Portugal’s main airports – Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal and Porto Santo.

Portugália Airlines was born in 1990 and has been a part of the TAP Group since 2007.

Portugália Airlines now operates as TAP Express, with a modern and up-to-date fleet, and serves a number of destinations on the TAP network.

Yes. Since its creation in 1945, TAP’s Maintenance and Engineering department has been responsible for fleet maintenance, and for providing services to a number of clients.
