The Alentejo flavors that marked his childhood made Vítor Sobral a staunch defender of Portuguese gastronomy. Endowed with an uncommon talent for cooking that appeared when he was still a child, he has worked at several benchmark restaurants. Today, his legacy can be proven in the spaces of reference he owns in Portugal and Brazil, as well as in the brands he works with.

At the Tasca da Esquina, Taberna da Esquina and Peixaria da Esquina restaurants Vítor Sobral explores national cuisine like few others, balancing generous doses of innovation with more traditional ingredients.

In 2006, he was recognized for his work to Portuguese cuisine by being made a Commander of the Order of Infant D. Henrique.
