Club TAP Miles&Go Terms and Conditions

  1. Promotion valid for new Club Extra, Top or Platinum memberships and renewals.
  2. Join Club Extra and earn another 2,000 miles, in addition to the 2,000 regular miles. In other words, you receive a total of 4,000 miles on joining.
  3. Join Club Top and earn another 3,000 miles, in addition to the 4,000 regular miles. In other words, you receive a total of 7,000 miles on joining.
  4. Join Club Platinum and earn another 10,000 miles in addition to the regular 12,000 miles. In other words, you receive a total of 22,000 miles on joining.
  5. Renew your Club Extra membership and earn another 2,000 miles in addition to the 4,000 regular miles. In other words, you receive a total of 6,000 miles on renewal.
  6. Renew your Club Top membership and earn another 3,000 miles in addition to the regular 8,000 miles. In other words, you receive a total of 11,000 miles on renewal.
  7. Renew your Club Platinum membership and earn another 10,000 miles in addition to the regular 24,000 miles. In other words, you receive a total of 34,000 miles on renewal.
  8. Club Basic is not included in this promotion.
  9. This promotion can be combined with other existing promotions.
  10. Promotional miles are valid for an annual accrual period (PMY).
  11. Promotional miles will be credited immediately upon joining or renewing Club Extra, Top or Platinum membership by credit card. Or on the day your bank approves the debit card payment, valid for the first year only.

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before signing a Club TAP Miles&Go.

By agreeing to join, the user declares to have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions described below. These Terms and Conditions are intended, along with the General Terms, Policies and Conditions of Use from Transportes Aéreos Portugueses, S.A. (available here), and Terms and Conditions from TAP Miles&Go Programme and other specific terms and conditions that may be communicated to the User on the website and any other (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”). 

These Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time by Transportes Aéreos Portugueses, SA or by the TAP Miles&Go Programme, considering that such amendments take effect from the date of their publication. Subsequent access and use by the user will be considered an unequivocal sign that the user has read, accepted and understood the amended Terms and Conditions. By using these web pages or making a purchase through them, the Client is consenting to be bound by these conditions.

The TAP Miles&Go Club is for the Clients of the TAP Miles&Go Programme. This is a 12 (twelve) month plan, which promotes the attribution of Bonus Miles, Status, benefits and exclusive offers.

  • Registration with one of the Club TAP Miles&Go plans represents a commitment to loyalty and assumes acceptance of the twelve (12) month membership period.
  • After this period, it is not automatically renewable for equal periods of time. Miles and benefits accrue and TAP Miles & Go Customer will have to purchase new plan.
  • It is not possible to purchase more than one plan at a time. Registration requires prior knowledge and acceptance by the customer of the Club TAP Miles&Go Terms and Conditions, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the TAP Miles&Go Programme.
  • Registration is neither reversible nor refundable.

Subscribing to one of the TAP Miles&Go Club plans with the option of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit is only possible for Clients who have an address in Portugal in their TAP Miles&Go Client Account at the time of joining the Club. 

Subscribing to one of the TAP Miles&Go Club Plans represents a loyalty commitment and presupposes acceptance of the initial validity period of 12 (twelve) months. After the initial term of 12 (twelve) months, and if the Client has chosen the method of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit, the subscription to the TAP Miles&Go Club is automatically renewed for equal and successive periods of 12 (twelve) months.

The amount of the first monthly fee will be processed within 3 (three) business days following the subscription to the TAP Miles&Go Club. It will be processed by the Direct Debit Payment method automatically, with the monthly fee being debited from the account indicated by the Client and the TAP Miles&Go Club will then be activated. If there is no payment, or if the collection fails through the method of Payment by Direct Debit of the first monthly fee for any reason unrelated to TAP Air Portugal, the subscription to Club TAP Miles&Go will not be processed, without the need for any communication on the part of TAP Air Portugal, and the Client must register a new membership if they remain interested in joining the Club. There will be no new collection attempt by TAP in case the bank refuses the option of Payment by Direct Debit.

After charging the first monthly fee, the subscription to the TAP Miles&Go Club will be confirmed and the Client will be able to enjoy it. Upon confirmation of membership, you will be credited with the promotional miles of the campaign in place on the date of the membership for the first year of the membership.

The Client must request the Bank for any refund of the debited amount, under the terms and conditions agreed with the Bank, in cases where more than one request is made to join one of the TAP Miles&Go Club plans with the option of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit. We remind you that the opt-in action will result in the activation of only ONE TAP Miles&Go Club, the one that got the Bank's approval in the first place, even if the Client's bank authorizes, for whatever reason, the activation and charging of more than one order for direct debit payment. It is the Client's responsibility to contact the respective bank and request the cancellation of any duplicate membership requests or that did not generate activation of a TAP Miles&Go Club.

The membership transaction is non-reversible and non-refundable.

  • Clients have 30 days to get their renewal miles bonus; 15 days before the end of the active TAP Miles&Go Club and 15 days after the end of the TAP Miles&Go Club.
    If the renewal occurs within 15 days before the end of the active TAP Miles&Go Club, the new one and its benefits will only become active when the previous one expires. The newly purchased TAP Miles&Go Club will be activated, and the renewal miles will be credited, after the end of the previous TAP Miles&Go Club.
  • Renewal requires prior knowledge and acceptance by the customer of the current specific applicable Club TAP Miles&Go Terms and Conditions, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the TAP Miles&Go Programme.
  • Renewal is neither reversible nor refundable.

After the initial period of 12 (twelve) months, and if the Client has chosen the method of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit (and keep the payment authorization with their Bank active), the subscription to theTAP Miles&Go Club is automatically renewed for equal and successive periods of 12 (twelve) months, under the aforementioned conditions.

The automatic renewal of one of the TAP Miles&Go Club plans with the option of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit assumes the immediate credit of the renewal miles depending on each type of Club, excluding the extra promotional miles of any campaign in effect at the time of renewal. 

  • Miles credits for Club TAP Miles&Go plans only begin to count after joining the Club. Registration, monthly and renewal miles are Bonus Miles.
  • Status miles will only start to be counted after the first monthly miles credit. It is the accumulation of these miles that counts for the purpose of increasing status.
  • Bonus and Status Miles and benefits are personal and relate to the TAP Miles&Go account, with the active plan. Club TAP Miles&Go plans cannot be transferred between TAP Miles&Go accounts.
  • It is not possible to accumulate benefits with ground partners other than those identified in the plan purchased.
  • Clients receive welcome miles when joining and renewing their membership. After joining, clients accumulate monthly miles on the 20th of each month. During their Club TAP Miles&Go membership, clients can also accrue more miles along with the other benefits of their specific plan.
  • It is possible to earn the total miles announced within the 12 months of the plan and provided all requirements are met (registration miles + monthly miles + flight benefits + credit card charges).
  • The flight miles credit may not be combined with credits from other campaigns and/or offers.

The credit of miles from the TAP Miles&Go Club will only start counting after joining and making the corresponding payment. The monthly credit of Bonus Miles and Status Miles will occur at the moment the monthly payment is successfully processed, both at the subscription and in the subsequent monthly payments. The miles will be credited according to the payment of each monthly or annual fee.
After charging the first monthly fee, the subscription to the TAP Miles&Go Club will be confirmed and the Client will be able to enjoy it. Upon confirmation of membership, you will be credited with the promotional miles for the campaign in place on the date of the membership, for the first year of the membership.

The Client will receive the miles referring to the plan in effect on the date of purchase. The miles will be credited when your bank authorizes direct debit to your account and when the Club is activated on theTAP Miles&Go Account. (Note: If on the date you activate your Club on theTAP Miles&Go Account another promotion is in effect, it always applies to the promotion that is in effect on the date of the purchase.

Monthly miles will be credited after successful monthly billing and on the date chosen by the Client (01st, 10th or 21th of each month).
The Client may change the IBAN associated with the direct debit of his Club's monthly fees at any time. The effectiveness of this change will take at least 3 (three) business days, and as such, the next monthly fee may still be debited on the previous IBAN, if the request is not made earlier than the billing date. 

If the Client has chosen the method of Monthly Payment by Direct Debit and the payment of the monthly fee is not carried out, either due to lack of receipt or any failure to collect the monthly fee for reasons beyond the control of TAP Air Portugal, and, consequently, their adhesion to the Club TAP Miles&Go has been canceled, the Client can still re-subscribe to the TAP Miles&Go Club, but only by using the Annual Credit Card Payment, and the amount already paid in previous monthly payments will not be refunded. The new subscription through the Monthly Payment by Direct Debit will only be available after the 12 (twelve) months period after the first date of subscription to the TAP Miles&Go Club with the same payment method.    
  
If the Client cancels the payment of monthly fees before at least the first 6 (six) full months of each 12 (twelve) month period have passed, their TAP Miles&Go Club membership will be canceled, the Bonus Miles and Status Miles accrued with the Club will be withdrawn, and any miles eligible to be extended in validity, as a benefit of the Club, will be withdrawn or will no longer be extended and, if they have received a new Status due to joining the Club, it will also be withdrawn. If the Client has already used the miles to purchase tickets or other services, they will be canceled, leaving the Client's account with a negative balance and suspended status until the Client settles its balance.

If the Client cancels the payment of monthly fees before at least 12 (twelve) months have passed, their TAP Miles&Go Club membership will be canceled and any miles eligible to be extended in validity, as a benefit of the Club, will be withdrawn or will no longer be extended, and if they have received a new Status due to joining the Club, it will also be withdrawn. If the Client has already used miles to purchase tickets or other services, they will be canceled, leaving the Client's account with a negative balance and with suspended status until the Client regularizes its balance.

In this payment method, after the 13th monthly payment, any monthly payment that is not made, either because of insufficient balance or for any failure to collect the monthly fee for reasons not related to TAP Air Portugal, and, consequently, your subscription to Club TAP Miles&Go is canceled, any renewal miles credit will be removed from your miles balance. The amount already paid in previous monthly installments will not be refunded.

Club TAP Miles&Go Basic:
  • Registration bonus miles – 2,000
  • Monthly bonus miles – 1,000
  • Monthly status miles – 50
  • Renewal bonus miles – 4,000 (double registration).
  • Additional Bonus Miles credit on TAP flights (percentage calculated on the number of miles accumulated and credited to the flight in question, this credit excludes the value of miles earned as a status bonus) - 15% up to a maximum of 5,000 bonus miles during the duration of the plan.
  • Single Bonus Miles Credit with ground partner - 4,000 (after consumption of 25,000 miles on Millennium BCP credit card).

Club TAP Miles&Go Extra:
  • Registration bonus miles – 2,000
  • Monthly bonus miles – 2,000
  • Monthly status miles – 100
  • Renewal bonus miles – 4,000 (double registration).
  • Additional Bonus Miles credit on TAP flights (percentage calculated on the number of miles accumulated and credited to the flight in question, this credit excludes the value of miles earned as a status bonus) - 20% up to a maximum of 7,500 bonus miles during the duration of the plan.
  • Single Bonus Miles Credit with ground partner - 6,000 (after consumption of 25,000 miles on Millennium BCP credit card).

Club TAP Miles&Go Top:
  • Registration bonus miles – 4,000
  • Monthly bonus miles – 4,000
  • Monthly status miles – 200
  • Renewal bonus miles – 8,000 (double registration).
  • Additional Bonus Miles credit on TAP flights (percentage calculated on the number of miles accumulated and credited to the flight in question, this credit excludes the value of miles earned as a status bonus) - 25% up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus miles during the duration of the plan.
  • Single Bonus Miles Credit with ground partner - 8,000 (after consumption of 25,000 miles on Millennium BCP credit card).
  • Extension of miles validity – miles will remain in the account if, on the expiry date of your miles, your Club is active.

Club TAP Miles&Go Platinum:
  • Registration bonus miles – 12,000
  • Monthly bonus miles – 8,000
  • Monthly status miles – 400
  • Renewal bonus miles – 24,000 (double registration).
  • Additional Bonus Miles credit on TAP flights (percentage calculated on the number of miles accumulated and credited to the flight in question, this credit excludes the value of miles earned as a status bonus) - 25% up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus miles during the duration of the plan.
  • Single Bonus Miles Credit with ground partner - 15,000 (after consumption of 25,000 miles on Millennium BCP credit card).
  • Extension of miles validity – miles will remain in the account if, on the expiry date of your miles, your Club is active.
  • Status: Access to Silver Benefits.
  • The price of each plan will be the one stipulated at the time on our site.
  • The price charged to the customer is in Euros and is for the total amount of each plan.
